Alifabs construction sites

Alifabs is the market leader in the supply of towers and metal cabinets and enclosures to the UK Telecommunications industry. Their high profile client base includes companies such as BT, Cable and Wireless and T-Mobile. They approached CADS 3D with a brief to add a 3D visual element to their tender documentation and presentations, in order to make them more competitive.

The first challenge was that we knew very little about the equipment and processes used by Alifabs. To ensure that we fully understood their needs, we spent some time with the client discussing the drawings the implementation detail.

These discussions also gave us the opportunity to develop an understanding of an appropriate look and feel for the presentation documents. We established that a dynamic visualisation, showing each component of the equipment being deconstructed and re-constructed whilst in-situ, would appeal to the target audience, who needed to understand the construction process quickly.

As a result, the three 3D videos you can see above were produced.
